From its founding in 1894, Clinton College (CC) has sought to "design and implement an educational program that will help all students lead moral, spiritual and productive lives." Since we believe that those goals are best achieved by persons whose education is holistic and inquiry based in nature, Clinton College has consistently maintained a liberal arts agenda as its primary focus.
Clinton College was one of many schools established by the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church during Reconstruction years, to help eradicate illiteracy among freedmen. Clinton is the oldest institution of higher education in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The College has operated continuously for 120 years.
In keeping with its 120 year tradition, Clinton College offers an academic environment that not only promotes intellectual growth, but also fosters positive moral, ethical, and spiritual values. The school has a proud heritage as a Christian College, striving to prepare men and women to be lifelong learners, active participating citizens, and good stewards of society.
*Historically Black Liberal Arts College founded in 1894

Discoveries Soccer Club was founded in 1986 as the Rock Hill Area Soccer Club. The initial purpose of the Club was to give high school age players a venue to play competitive soccer in the off-season. During the 1990's the Club expanded to several teams and added a development program. The Club secured Winthrop University Soccer Complex as a practice and playing facility. To heighten the geographic scope of the Club, the name changed in 1999 to Discoveries Soccer Club.Discoveries continues to grow serving players age 5-18 with Early Development Program, Youth Development program Junior Academy and Select Programs, and never forgetting its mission statement. While we still enjoy a great relationship with Winthrop University, we are fortunate to call Manchester Meadows Soccer Complex in Rock Hill our home field. With Discoveries' partnership with the City of Rock Hill and Fort Mill, Clover and Lake Wylie we are able to provide training to recreation coaches and free clinics to close to 2000 recreation players. We strive to provide opportunities to coaches and players in York, Chester and Lancaster Counties as well as the South Charlotte area.Read More...
